The Backpack Music Festival
BACKPACKING for Success,” a program of SCP Michigan, was established to showcase, promote, and celebrate the academic advancement of Detroit youth by ensuring that they have the basic supplies needed to succeed in the classroom. The program provides free backpacks and various school supplies to families in need.

- Maybury Elementary
- Evergreen/Lahser-7 Mile & 8 Mile Community Council

The VisionSerendipity, Collage and Potpourri (SCP) of Michigan is a non-profit organization founded in 2004. SCP Michigan is committed to assisting students in need by providing them with backpacks and school supplies to motivate and prepare them to achieve a successful school year. “No child should be without the basics to succeed.”
SCP–BACKPACKING for Success impacts 1,500-2,000 students each year. In 2015, with your help, the Backpacking for Success Program will reach over 12,000 students.
The SCP-Backpack Music Festival is shaping up to be the must-attend event of detroit’s summer season, and it is supported by the Founders and Innovators of electronic music.

Born and bred in Detroit, each of these world-renown artists has donated their time and talent for the past 10 years in support of the SCP-BACKPACKING for Success program.
